Medici: Masters of Florence is a compelling story of intrigue, power, art and faith that after seven centuries, is still alive in the artistic and cultural heritage they have left us.
Be noted that the backgrounds were not rebuilt, but the real places where the Medici lived have been used as the stage: filming has been carried out between Tuscany and Lazio, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Florence.
The protagonist will be Richard Madden, Cosimo de Medici, who had the key role in the rise of the family. But it all begins with Giovanni (Dustin Hoffman), the son of a wool merchant, founder of the bank. Rich and important throughout Europe, the Medici will affect not only the politics, but also arts and religion of the period.
